Why action is the toughest part

Ever since the effort for better life has begun, the toughest challenge has been to put words into action. It requires monumental resolve and thump, but biggest of all, the kick to fight against your ingrained impulses. It takes time to internalize the actions, hence patience becomes a much-needed virtue then.
I have gone through all these in the recent months. Some results have come, but more disconcerting part has been when there is a feeling of all-coming-to-nothing. You have fought, but it seems there is no output. Nice to have good thoughts, but if results are not coming at a similar pace, where does the motive come from to move ahead? That is life’s biggest challenge, I suppose.
